Located on the south east side of Highway 7 and Pine Valley (Enter from Highway 7 through the TD bank) Cucina 71 is an Italian eatery.  Cucina 71 carries on the quality and tradition of Market Lane Pizzeria.  Chef Sean will continue to serve all your favourite dishes like the Grilled Calamari and Orecchiette Alla Barese, but also introduces some new dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.  Cucina 71 is a cozy environment that is a great spot for lunch, dinner and all your private functions.    The menu features numerous Italian style dishes that appeal to all paletes.    The appetizers features some seafood dishes that are unique.  They have Grilled Sardines and Grilled Octopus in addition to the usual yet still delicious Mussels, Shrimp and Calamari of the fried and grilled variety.  If seafood is not your cup of tea, they offer an in house soup made daily, and the staple Antipasto Misto, which is assorted grilled veggies, cheeses and cured meats.  The salads they offer are great starters, and you can add chicken to them if you want to make it your main meal.  Cucina 71 offers a standard mixed green salad, an arugula salad, and a Caesar salad..  Their Pomodoro Rustica  salad is a great plate offering the rich flavour of heirloom tomatos with a light olive oil, sea salt and basil dressing.  Rounding out the salads are the Tonno Cipolli e Fagioli salad, the Caprese and the Burrata.   The Pasta dishes are numerous and satisfying.  They have dishes that offer all types of sauces and types of pasta, and you will enjoy every one of them.  A new popular addition is the Gnocchi Fritti and the Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti, which are both simple yet tasty dishes.   Cucina 71 serves up a few pizzas as well, including the fan favourite spicy Calabrese!  Cucina 71 serves up a wide array of entrees.  They have Salmon, Steak, Pork Chops and Grilled Veal Paillard all served with seasonal vegetables or salad.  As a twist on the Italian menu, they serve up Fish and Buffalo Chips with an arugola and fennel slaw.  The Fish and Chips is as good if not better than the ones you get at your local pub!
